Healthy, Delicious, Smoothie Recipes

Smoothies can be both delicious and healthy. Fruit smoothies can be a way to hide some of those foods you know is good for you, but you just don't enjoy eating.

I have two ways that I like to make smoothies, one to drink from a glass and one to eat from a bowl. Both recipes start with the same base ingredients : Mixed frozen berries, a scoop of protein, and coconut milk.

I use my Oster Blender to combine my smoothie ingredients into the perfect consistency for for either the bowl or the glass.

Smoothie Bowl Recipe:

1 1/2 cups frozen berries (no need for ice)

1 scoop Protein Powder (I like Ancient Nutrition Bone Broth Collagen or Multi Collagen)

1 cup Unsweetened Coconut Milk

1 avocado

1/2 fresh banana

Pour into bowl and top with extra fresh fruit, nuts and seeds. I used Fresh raspberries, the other half of the banana, sliced, and pumpkin seeds, chia seeds, and sliced almonds.

Feel free to blend in some kale or spinach or any other healthy ingredients to the base. (You will never know.) :)

Smoothie Glass Recipe:

1 1/2 cups frozen berries (no need for ice)

1 scoop Protein Powder (I like Ancient Nutrition Bone Broth Collagen or Multi Collagen)

1 cup Unsweetened Coconut Milk

You can pour and drink just like this or keep going with some add ins:

Add in a 1/2 banana for added sweetness

Add in a 1/2 avocado for added creaminess (avocado is a good source of healthy fats)

Add in a handful of kale or spinach to get in those healthy greens

Add in a spoonful of chia seeds ( soaked for a bit of smooth texture, or un-soaked if you prefer the texture of the seeds.)

If your smoothie is getting too thick to drink add a little more coconut milk to adjust consistency.

I like to use my bee smoothie glass from the shop for the perfect smoothie experience. It has a subtle bee motif around the top of the glass, a bamboo lid, glass straw and also comes with the perfect size brush for washing and cleaning the straw.

You can also find the Calendula Bowl in the shop.

Thank you for stopping by the blog. Let me know how you like the smoothie recipes.
