Easy And Delicious Strawberry (Banana) Ice Cream

Strawberry Ice Cream is so delicious on a hot summer day! This delicious strawberry ice cream recipe makes it so easy to have ice cream all summer long.

When I saw the biggest, prettiest strawberries in the grocery store I just had to get some to make strawberry ice cream. It is the perfect treat for a summer day.

This recipe is so easy that an ice cream maker isn't even necessary. I use my blender and it takes just several quick pulses to whip it up into the creamiest homemade ice cream.

This recipe is also easily adaptable for just about any flavors, too! One of my favorites is strawberry banana. I made two batches for my double 2 cup silicone container. One batch contained 2 cups of sliced frozen bananas and 1 cup of sliced frozen strawberries. The other batch contained 1 cup of sliced frozen bananas and 2 cups of sliced frozen strawberries.

After slicing the fruit, strawberries and bananas I placed to individual slices on parchment paper to flash freeze them in the freezer. This process takes a couple of hours.

Strawberry Banana Ice Cream Recipe

Ingredients:

2 Cups sliced frozen bananas

1 Cup sliced frozen strawberries

1/2 cup heavy whipping cream

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 Tablespoons pure maple syrup

Add all the ingredients into the blender. Turn blender on strongest setting for only a few seconds. Stop blending and stir, pushing the fruit down towards the blades and quickly repeat this step several times.

Do not over blend. You do not want your ingredients to start to melt or for your heavy cream to start to get too thick.

After several intervals of blending, the fruit should be chopped and blended into the creamy mixture of ice cream and ready to eat or pour into your freezer containers to store in the freezer for later.

If eating the ice cream immediately after blending it will have a softer consistency than if eating after being in the freezer long enough to take on a firmer more solid consistency.

Either way is delicious!

Enjoy,
