A Spring Day At The Farmhouse

A Spring Day At The Farmhouse

Spring flowers are arriving at the farmhouse. Green is sprouting up in the flowerbeds and pretty pink and purple blooms are filling the porch planters.

I love visiting the garden centers and greenhouses in the spring and seeing and smelling the array of flowers, annuals, perennials, flowering shrubs, and trees. I went to The Home Depot to find flowers for the urn planters on the porch and in the driveway.

Planters are easy to fill with beautiful flowers with ready filled drop in containers. I knew I wanted the ones overflowing with pink verbena and purple petunias when I saw a beautiful hummingbird moth hovering and quickly buzzing from flower to flower.

Once I got them home it was as simple as a drop in the bucket (or planter). They were a perfect fit.

Now, to just water and watch them grow and look beautiful throughout the spring and summer.

I have been able to find large enough drop in flower containers for this large planter before, but they didn't have one yet, so I bought a pink geranium and an asparagus fern to fill it this time.

All of our little trees are, now, green and I am excited to see them take off and grow some more this spring and summer. I caught a black butterfly enjoying the spring day on a tree branch and I almost missed the bumble bee just below it. Did you see it?

I can't wait to be in full swing, gardening and doing all things outside. For now, this is a great start, though.

Lots of Love,

Tammie
